The Eastern Regional Sales Manager is responsible for growing and supporting the Copley Motion Control business both directly with OEM’s and by working with our sales channel partners.
Utilize technical background to assist OEM’s in understanding and solving their motion control needs and propose value-add solutions.
Provide leadership in market analysis and development/execution of strategies and action plans to drive sales.
Identify potential OEM’s in key market segments and work either directly or through our sales channel to design-in the Copley product line.
Achieve annual, quarterly, and monthly multiple sales and revenue targets for assigned region.
Provide accurate sales forecasting for the region.
Develop long-term customer relationships coupled with ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities that immediately satisfy customer needs.
Work with internal Sales, Applications, Marketing, Planning and Operations teams to optimize market strategy and position the company for continued growth.
Coordinate and provide product training and sales presentations as required.
Provide monthly reports to the Director of Sales or General Manager.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field. Prior sales experience in a technical, electromechanical field such as servo drives, servo motors, encoders, sensors or controllers.
Minimum five years of demonstrated strategic selling skills, including customer presentations, price quoting, product demonstration, negotiation, closing and growing a sales territory.
Travel 50% required within specified geographic region with overnight stays depending on geography and business need.
DESIRED
Knowledge base of the Motion Control market, factors that drive growth, and competitive landscape.
Experience working with a distribution channel and Manufacturers Representatives, and strategic handling of sales channel issues.
Ability to energize, develop, and build rapport at all levels within an organization.
Demonstrated ability to analyze customer data and develop financially sound sales offers.
Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of solution-based sales process.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products.
Experience with CRM tools and Data Analytics a plus.
