Under direction, provides electro/mechanical skills and support to engineering, manufacturing engineering and production groups.
Assembles, wire solders, reworks any assembly or piece part per prototype, test equipment, or fabrication documentation guidelines.
Disassembles, modifies, reworks, refurbishes, reassembles, tests units and corrects malfunctions.
Performs fine pitch touch up/rework using magnification, PCB etch repair, and SMT and thru hole rework
Performs drive assembly and test and follows procedures and documentation for pre-production and custom assemblies.
Performs wiring duties, including crimping, soldering, dressing, harnessing and cable making.
Performs component insertion and extraction, ECO implementation and rework and touch up.
May train lower level assembly manufacturing personnel. Maintains safety standards and regulations.
Maintains a neat, clean and orderly work station and adjacent area. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
As a highly skilled specialist, completes complex tasks in creative and effective ways with very few errors. Works with minimum supervision; recommends process or product improvements

high school or equivalent plus 6 years or more of related experience
