Overview

Supports strategy development initiatives and the deployment of those initiatives consistently across Analogic, including the annual strategic planning process, acquisitions, investments, partnerships, licensing arrangements, new product developments and commercialization, and business excellence initiatives.  Direct responsibility for executing and delivering research, data analysis, financial modeling of potential strategic development initiatives and the company’s market segments, competition, and occasionally KPI measurement. 

Responsibilities

Assists in the development of strategies that drive business opportunities.  This is accomplished through analysis and recommendations related to emerging industry trends, expansion opportunities, competitive dynamics, and internal business performance.  Specific duties include following:

  • Together with the VP of Strategy, helps drives the annual Strategic planning process
  • Performs analysis of various strategic initiatives
  • Monitors and measures business performance
  • Prepares dashboards of KPIs
  • Collects and analyzes customer/market data on customer demographics, preferences, needs and trends to identify potential markets and factors affecting product demands
  • Performs in-depth market, industry and competitive analysis and positioning
  • Provides competitive analyses and benchmarking
  • Identifies and researches potential M&A targets
  • Assesses and provides value proposition analyses
  • Contributes to M&A due diligence
  • Formulates and recommends program/product pricing strategies and customer marketing initiatives
  • Prepares high-quality presentations summarizing the results of the activities above for executive and board level review

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of business experience.  Demonstrated experience in corporate development (M&A), strategy and/or financial roles
  • Top-notch organizational, communication (written and verbal), presentation, facilitation, project management and influencing skills
  • Have an analytical orientation and possess strong problem-solving skills, including financial analysis, financial modeling, valuation, new business model development and sensitivity analysis skills 
  • Team player with leadership instincts
  • Self-starter who can quickly and independently assess business requirements and become a trusted an integral part of the team 
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, highly entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills required; Power B.I. experience a plus
