Overview

Analogic is looking for a highly motivated Principle Software Engineer to be part of a team designing industry leading technology for Medical CT. The selected candidate will design, implement and test, in collaboration with hardware engineers, software for controlling complex systems. The selected candidate will be a creative self-starter capable of executing complex tasks on time with minimal supervision.  The selected candidate must have strong attention to detail and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Leads software design and development efforts for products or concepts
  • Responsible for any/all parts of Software Development Life Cycle including development of original concepts, planning, requirements analysis, design, development, integration, verification, release, maintenance
  • Works with stakeholders to define requirements
  • Generates and reviews written system design and specifications
  • Generates and reviews code to satisfy design requirements
  • Generates and executes software verification procedures, including documenting results
  • Generates SW releases
  • Responsible for working within time and dollar budgets
  • Directs and trains technicians and others in SW installation, configuration, operation
  • Mentor junior level engineers

Qualifications

  • BSCS, BSCE or equivalent
  • 10+ years in C++
  • Strong Object-Oriented Design skills a must
  • Must have experience developing applications for the Linux platform
  • Multithreading, IPC (TCP sockets, Shared Memory)     
  • Excellent written and verbal communication is essential
  • Must have ability to interface with customers, engineers and other stakeholders
  • Experience with software development tools AccuRev, Jira, Jama is a plus
  • Experience with Boost Libraries a plus
  • CAN Bus experience a plus
  • Experience with medical devices and/or working in a regulated environment a plus
  • Medical imaging experience, radiology workflow experience a plus
