    SUMMARY

    Responsible for product development programs for existing products and develops profitable new products. Focused on increasing customer satisfaction through coordinated emphasis on the quality, reliability, and effectiveness of manufactured products.

    Responsibilities

    Defines, develops, and introduces new products into production which are reliable, competitive, and responsive to customer and market requirements

     

    Meets with customers and users to evaluate and determine technical and market requirements.  Evaluates potential markets and recommends next generation of products and innovative product ideas.

     

    Designs and produces award winning products and generates novel ideas on a consistent and timely basis.  Demonstrates a continually increasing breadth of knowledge.

     

    Prepares functional specifications, establishes design standards, engineering schedules, cost estimates and budgetary requirements.  Troubleshoots engineering problems over a wide range of disciplines.


    Works closely with personnel from cross-functional teams that are focused on the delivery of a product from design to release for customers

     

    Supervises the design of new products.  Demonstrates leadership shown by the desire of subordinates to be assigned to his or her projects and by the trust and responsibility assigned by supervisors.

     

    Communicates effectively with personnel at all levels.

    Qualifications

    BS in engineering or science plus 8 or more years of related experience. Exposure to multiple areas of leadership and execution including engineering, quality, program management, supply chain management, and manufacturing. Experience in medical industry is a plus.
