    Analogic is looking for a highly motivated Principle Imaging Engineer to be part of a team designing industry leading technology for Medical CT scanners. The selected candidate will develop reconstruction algorithms for CT Medical Scanners and reduce the technology to practice.  The selected candidate will be a creative self-starter capable of executing complex tasks on time with minimal supervision.  The selected candidate must have strong attention to detail and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

     

    Develops reconstruction algorithms for CT Medical Scanners and reduces the technology to practice.  Requires advanced knowledge of physics and/or engineering principles and concepts, as well as the ability to implement and integrate designs.

    Responsibilities

    • Develops reconstruction algorithms for CT Medical Scanners and analyzes imaging systems for medical CT applications. Invents original and creative approaches to design tasks.
    • Optimizes reconstruction algorithms for hardware implementation.
    • Documents image quality specifications, product designs test plans, and release notes.
    • Analyzes image artifacts and identifies algorithm improvements.
    • Coordinates the efforts of physicists, engineers and technicians assigned to projects. Maintains liaison with various divisions. 
    • Reviews progress of engineering projects and evaluates results. Makes changes in methods, design or equipment where necessary.
    • Supports and oversees implementations of algorithms for image reconstruction and service tools.

    Qualifications

    • Advanced degree in electrical engineering or physics or equivalent with 12+ years of related experience in system modeling and simulation, digital signal processing, image processing, X-ray generation and detection, or inverse problems.
    • Strong knowledge of CT reconstruction strategies and clinical applications
    • Experience with High Performance Computing or GPU technologies is a plus.
    • Experience in machine learning is a plus.
