  • Overview

    Sets up and operates a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines including robotic assembly equipment used in the production of the company's product.  Responsible for the overall operation of potentially large-scale manufacturing machinery including actions such as feeding materials for processing, adjusting settings, performing minor repairs, and pulling finished product from the line. Works from process sheets or written/verbal instructions given by supervisor to perform production tasks. Checks and inspects operation results against predetermined tolerances.

    Responsibilities

    • sets up all of the machines on the line (screen printer to oven)
    • loads programs and profiles on the SMT line
    • programs the screen printer and create new programs if required

    reviews set up and make appropriate changes to improve the efficiency of the line

    • ensures cleanliness of the production line and maintain safety standards and regulations
    • performs preventive maintenance cleaning on lines
    • perform all requirements of Machine Operator 3 as follows:
      • Will be able to do the set up, loading, and unloading of machines (i.e. feeders, stencils, boards, etc)
      • Will know how to use our production support system to access ECO’s, Deviations, BOM’s, Procedures, and Visual Aids
      • Will know how to use set up sheets provided by manufacturing engineering
    • perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager

    Qualifications

    • three to five years related experience operating / running SMT machines and thorough knowledge of AAG procedures and documentation required to build boards on the lines
