We are looking to hire Verification and Validation Engineers to work on our exciting new technology in our Security Systems team. Analogic V&V Engineers work on a variety of assignments with responsibilities and hands-on involvement in areas of systems and software design and verification.
These positions will work primarily with Security EDS products and will include hands-on experience running the scanner. V&V Engineers utilize a combination of data collection, data analysis and creative test approaches to develop and verify Premium CT Systems. V &V Engineers act as key team members interacting with development engineers to understand design and analytically stress the functionality, performance, and usability of system features. These individuals work hands-on with assembled prototype systems using their engineering skill sets and utilize problem-solving process to find defects and improve quality of the product design.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or other relevant technical discipline or equivalent. Master’s degree preferred. Five or more years of verification and validation experience working on complex real-time software control systems in support of highly automated electromechanical systems and significant experience with a variety of computing platforms, source code control tools, integrated development environments, and sensors/instrumentation.
Individuals may be required to sit/stand in one place for long periods of time. They might be required to lift and move related equipment up to 50 pounds from time to time. This may include bending or kneeling briefly. Required to use PC/laptop/mouse for significant time virtually every day. Works in an office and lab environment with visits to the manufacturing floor to observe issues that may arise. Work in labs and manufacturing requires appropriate safety and ESD protections. Work in an x-ray environment requires x-ray safety training as well as a dosimeter badge.
Makes technical decisions in areas of responsibility.
Receives general supervision with respect to priorities, schedule, and company goals.
Primarily office, with regular lab work involving electro-mechanical rotating equipment. Occasional work in an aviation security or clinical environment.
