  • Overview

    Analogic is looking for a Senior Logistics Supervisor to lead Logistics (Freight/Transportation), Shipping, Receiving at our Peabody location. This position requires independent judgment, interacting cross functionally across all departments, with the ability to plan and execute a strategy aligned to Corporate vison and objectives. This position reports to the site Materials Manager.

    • Ensure alignment of the Logistics Team with the overall Business Strategy.
    • Build a high performing team that is capable of meeting/exceeding business goals and objectives. Assess current organizational capability to understand gaps and devise plans to close those gaps through hiring, training, and coaching/mentoring. Develop and nurture core competencies within the Logistics team disciplines to build a high performing team. Provide medium and long-range career development plans that provide new opportunities, challenges, and growth.
    • Create an incident and injury free culture, drive compliance to ISO13485 standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ensure on time delivery of products to schedule.
    • Develop and drive the Logistics plan and goals by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, resolving problems, and reporting results.
    • Daily management of the Logistics functions.
    • Facilitate daily communication plans between Logistics and other departments, ensuring alignment between teams and departments.
    • Negotiating contracts with transporters with the assistance of the Purchasing and Finance teams.
    • Lead Logistics efforts for continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.
    • Ensure that personnel operate in accordance with employee guidelines, and health, safety and environmental policies
    • Implement and support cultural change across the organization to drive business improvement
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required to fulfill job function or as assigned

    Qualifications

    • High school graduate or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of previous logistics professional experience.
    • At least 4 years’ experience in a supervisory role with strong hands-on management and leadership experience with a passion for people, helping them to achieve their best work.
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
    • Strong computer (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and ERP skills
    • Decisive and goal-oriented with the ability to be held accountable for results.
    • Ability to prioritize work effectively and provide critical analysis to resolve problems.
    • Experienced in the creation of Shipment Letter of Instructions and Commercial Invoices
    • Licensed Fork Lift operator, a plus
    • Experience training and maintaining records for shipping/receiving teams
    • Experience Negotiation shipping charges with Freight Forwarders and Trucking Companies
