  • Overview

    The Imaging Engineer position is responsible for the design and development of image reconstruction and data correction algorithms used for Medical Computerized Tomography (CT) Products. Requires knowledge of physics and/or engineering principles and concepts. The candidate should have strong problem-solving skills, the ability to learn new technology quickly and adjust to a dynamic work environment.

     

    The willing candidate will learn CUDA programming, increase his/her expertise in signal and image processing and learn image reconstruction and data processing for Computerized Tomography systems. This position requires someone who is willing to take guidance, learn from our existing engineering team while being self-motivated to come up with their own solutions.     Responsibilities

    • Designs and analyzes data correction algorithms and reconstruction methods for medical imaging applications.
    • Develops (or aids in development of) online implementations of algorithms for image reconstruction and analysis. Optimizes algorithms for hardware implementation.
    • Works on methodologies and tools required to develop algorithms.
    • Works with lead engineers and team members to define project scope and goals
    • Communicates complex concepts in written and verbal form
    • Generates technical reports and product documentation
    • Performs other duties like data collection and classification as required.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

     

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific discipline like Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
    • 0-3 years of related experience
    • Experience developing signal and data processing algorithms in C/C++, Matlab/Octave
    • Knowledge of CUDA is preferred but not required.
    • Knowledge of inverse problems, data classification, signal processing and image processing
    • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interface with other engineers and team members

     

     

    LOCATION:

    • The position is based at Analogic Corporation headquarters in Peabody, MA.

     

    GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Individuals may be required to sit/stand in one place for long periods of time. They might be required to lift and move related equipment up to 20 pounds from time to time. This may include bending or kneeling briefly. Required to use PC/laptop/mouse for significant time virtually every day. Works in an office and lab environment with visits to the manufacturing floor to observe issues that may arise. Work in labs and manufacturing requires appropriate safety and ESD protections.  Work in an x-ray environment requires x-ray safety training as well as a dosimeter badge.
