  • Overview

    Hands-on management of product costing on a global basis for the company.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to the execution, analysis, and streamlining of processes as they relate to Bills Of Materials, Work Orders, Inventory, and executing the product costing.  

    Responsibilities

    • Management of Global Annual Cost Roll process, ensuring proper costing of all products in collaboration with Operations and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), ensuring alignment with AOP process.
    • Prepares Inventory Reporting including Global Inventory Reconciliation, WIP Analysis, E&O Roll forward
    • Takes lead role in analysis and review with cross-functional team to minimize Excess & Obsolete (E&O) inventory risk
    • Conducts analysis and root cause or corrective action of Purchase Price Variance, Production Order Variance and Inventory Adjustment Accounts to minimize P&L impact
    • Develops policies and procedures or improves established policies and procedures to enhance inventory control efforts including the cycle counting process, scrap process, etc.
    • Performs cycle count, scrap, and blocked stock audits
    • Prepares costed BOM’s utilizing SAP with the ability to interpret variances and effect corrective action
    • Assists with annual audits, quarterly reviews, annual forecast, and annual operating plan (AOP) preparation as it relates to Cost Accounting data and analysis
    • Prepares and processes journal entries as required for inventory accounts
    • New Product Implementation Analysis and Review
    • Performs monthly analysis of inventory and variance accounts to make sure all inventory related accounts are reconciled for accuracy and reasonableness on a monthly basis

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in finance / accounting or equivalent

    Minimum 5 Years of SAP experience; preferably in a manufacturing environment

    Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, extended formulas, and queries with ability to create and maintain complex spreadsheets

    Understanding of accounting principles and practices related to inventory

    Experience in Process Improvement
