  • Overview

    Performs limited electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical production assembly and subassembly operations of a repetitive nature to build and assemble routine units such as printed circuit boards, modules, chassis drawers, cable harnesses, and simple electronic and mechanical subassemblies. 



    • may perform routine tasks in preparation for assembly such as cutting wire to specified size, stripping, tinning, or bending wire parts, wiring and fastening terminal connections
    • assembles and installs various electrical or electronic components where operation and sequence are specified by blueprints, wire lists, diagrams, or established operations practices.
    • uses various common hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
    • may operate automatic and semi-automatic assembly equipment
    • notifies group leader or supervisor of quality or other issues
    • may be assigned to AAG assembly, kit prep, transformer assembly, component selection, service operations, and other areas
    • soldering skills not required for Assembler 1



    • acquires job skills and learns work standards and procedures in order to complete routine tasks
    • operates to well defined processes and procedures
    • ability to follow written and verbal instructions is required
    • high school or equivalent plus some related experience
    • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
