    The Global Director of HR will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for developing and implementing Human Resources policies and programs for both domestic and international facilities. This position will be responsible for helping to drive company culture, strengthening values, establishing policies and procedures, maintaining compliance, and reinforcing the behaviors needed to support the company's strategy, objectives, and activities. As a member of the executive team, the Director of HR will partner with the management team in the continued profitable growth of the company.

    Responsibilities

    • Annually reviews and makes recommendations to executive management for improvement of the organization’s policies, procedures and practices.
    • Partners with the senior management team to execute the organization's overall vision, mission, values, beliefs, and strategic goals in an exemplary manner.
    • Drives the effectiveness of future and existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures recommending plan revisions as well as new plans that are consistent with market practices/trends, corporate objectives, compensation philosophy, and regulatory compliance; coordinates implementation and provides guidance to various staff.
    • Evaluates and determines where technology can be used to automate systems and processes, reduce costs and creates efficiencies in the Human Resources function. Manages the human resources information systems database and necessary reports for critical analysis of the HR function and the employee resources.
    • Partners with the executive team to create business strategies that align with strategic short- and long-term strategy, employee engagement and customer service goals; and improve employee satisfaction and engagement by identifying and responding to employee concerns.
    • Analyzes the company’s organizational, commercial and operational structure to pinpoint opportunities for operational improvement and/or areas that need to be expanded, reorganized, downsized or eliminated.
    • Interprets, implements, and standardizes policies and procedures according to the Fair Labor Standards Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, as well as help administer COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, etc., and all relevant federal, state and local regulations.
    • Maintains knowledge of international HR policies, programs, laws and issues in the countries where the company operates or is considering entering. Understands the differences of domestic and international policies and programs and coordinates the integration of all such programs.
    • Keeps succession planning, career development and performance management processes and results aligned with the organization’s goals.
    • Manages all employees of the human resource department and is responsible for the performance management, hiring, dispute resolution, and compliance and discipline.
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required to fulfill job function or as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Excellent analytical, problem solving and negotiating skills.
    • Demonstrated effectiveness in written and verbal communication.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
    • Knowledge of compensation strategy, performance management, benefit administration, employee relations, safety practices and talent acquisition, and the ability to apply this information in a manner that is compliant with relevant employment law.
    • Capable of compiling and analyzing employment data to guide strategic planning.
    • Experience with designing and administering compensation, incentive and benefit plans.
    • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of ten years related, progressive experience, including significant experience in a management and leadership role. Master’s degree and/or specialized training in organizational planning, compensation, and employee relations will be valued.
    • Demonstrated ability to independently lead large, complex program(s) on a global scale through strong execution and negotiating skills.
    • Experience managing global teams and collaboratively working in a matrix organization.
    • Candidates for this position must be authorized to work in the United States.  No Visa sponsorship will be provided for this position.

    Travel Requirements:

    • Position requires periodic domestic travel and occasional international travel.
