  • Overview

    This is a temporary position - six months minimum - and requires up to 75% travel. Provides technical support services to internal and external customers for the installation, upgrade, repair and maintenance of complex electro-mechanical security systems.

    Responsibilities

     

      • Participates in field product installations and upgrades.
      • Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on field products.
      • Troubleshoots, tests and repairs electronic, mechanical and communication systems in accordance with documented procedures and specifications.
      • Coaches customers in operating and maintenance procedures.
      • Resolves customers’ technical problems with on-site visits and/or remote support.
      • Provides technical assistance to engineering and manufacturing personnel in the repair, testing and maintenance of Analogic products when directed.
      • Contributes to technical documentation such as service, maintenance, installation and upgrade manuals and procedures.
      • Facilitates continuing department training sessions as assigned.
      • Prepares field data packages and service reports.
      • Performs other duties as assigned in support of department and company objectives.

       

    Qualifications

    • US citizen or permanent resident
    • able to clear a drug screen and background check
    • possession of valid driver’s license
    • able to travel by air on short notice (up to 75% of schedule)
    • able to obtain a corporate credit card for travel expense purposes
    • sensitive to the operational readiness and timely repair of mission-critical systems

     

    SKILLS

    • capable of assessing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing and testing complex, electro-mechanical security systems
    • strong and tactful verbal and written communicator
    • comfortable working in a team structure, as well as self-sustaining in the field
    • proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Power Point, Excel, Access, Outlook)
    • proficient in navigating Windows OS
    • familiar with LINUX OS
    • experienced with the technology and application of Computed Tomography (CT)
    • familiar with computer networking protocols

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent
    • 5-7 years' related experience
