    performance. Our motion control group is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team.
    Copley motor drives are the most innovative in the industry and employ a wide variety of
    technologies including high speed networking, digital signal processing with FPGA’s, precision
    analog signal conditioning and high efficiency power conversion.
    The ideal candidate is an experienced, hands-on design engineer a strong background and
    experience with μC/FPGA based systems, mixed analog and digital circuitry and power
    conversion electronics.

    Responsibilities

    • Design PCB-level mixed analog/digital, interface and power electronic circuits to meet product
    specification and cost requirements
    • Assist Copley’s application engineering team to resolve hardware-oriented customer problems
    on an as needed basis
    • Provide hardware expertise to help resolve more challenging sustaining engineering issues on
    an as needed basis
    • Perform engineering analyses and write test plans, specifications, test reports and engineering
    change orders. Provide technical expertise in support of the production of customer-oriented
    documents like datasheets, user guides and application notes.
    • Help to plan and direct product performance, compliance and reliability testing

    Qualifications

    • A BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
    • 5+ years of direct, PCB-level, design experience with μC/FPGA based systems containing
    mixed signal, interface and power conversion circuitry
    • Ability to design magnetic components used in power conversion circuits
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a product development team
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to lend technical expertise to
    discussions with customers
    • Experience with all phases of PCB design flow – specification, schematic capture, DFM/DFT
    and layout
    • Strong familiarity with and ability to use PCB design tools (Orcad Capture, PADS or Allegro)
    • Working knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) concepts (revision control, change
    orders etc.) and software such as Agile
    • Familiarity with EMC, Electrical Safety and Functional Safety standards and requirements
