  • Overview


    Primary responsibilities are the development, streamlining, and implementation of financial tools and reporting relating to Manufacturing KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) as well as the Budgeting / Forecasting of OCOGS (Other Cost of Goods Sold) and manufacturing cost centers.


    • Prepares forecast / budget related to Manufacturing Operations including OCOGS
    • Prepares financial analysis related to, but not limited to: inventory analysis, cost center analysis, direct labor analysis, overhead and department cost rates. Verifies source data for accuracy.
    • Prepares ad hoc data analysis / financial metrics as requested by management
    • Analyzes costs to identify budget variances and forecasts business conditions.
    • Provides financial analysis and insight into the following areas:
    • Product costs
    • Product gross margins
    • Manufacturing variances
    • Manufacturing operating costs (labor & overhead)
    • Inventory Balances and Forecasts
    • Monitors, reviews, researches, and compiles financial data from multiple sources in order to perform analyses to produce and substantiate business reports
    • Performs monthly analysis of projects in terms of cost variance and trending to pinpoint those projects which need further management intervention or support
    • Ensures that financial reporting is timely and accurate and facilitates business unit decision making
    • Provides monthly gross margin by customer or project.
    • Works with all project stakeholders to ensure cost forecasting is checked and applied consistently
    • Attends project meetings with operations teams to challenge and review project status and performance to date
    • Provides Earned Value analysis on projects
    • Prepares reports on changes including the financial section and submits information into the change control process
    • Coordinates the implementation of approved changes into core systems


    Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent and 8 or more years of accounting / finance experience in manufacturing environment.  Proficient in the principles of forecasting and cost accounting as well as schedule and risk management.  Advanced proficiency in Excel, specifically experience with Pivot Tables.  SAP power user required / Hyperion report writing experience preferred.
