Works with design engineering from the earliest stages of the development process to ensure a quality product, manufactured in the most cost effective manner, is released to production.
Designs and develops product specific manufacturing and/or test fixtures for manufacturing, utilizing CAD.
Reviews and evaluates proposed and processed engineering changes and or specification requirements and acts as technical liaison with production planning and design engineering personnel.
Writes manufacturing procedures for new equipment. Creates labor routing through work factor/time study analysis.
Analyzes complex engineering drawings and develops understandable manufacturing procedures.
Evaluates manufacturing capital equipment and coordinates engineering activities concerned with procurement and installation.
Directs and trains manufacturing personnel in proper manufacturing procedures.
Confers with senior level engineering and technical personnel to resolve complex technical problems.
Attends all design reviews, analyzes production limitations and standards and may recommend revision of specification when indicated.
Travels to customer sites to resolve technical problems.
May perform duties of lower level positions as required.
BS in technical discipline or equivalent, and 5 or more years of related experience.
Medical imaging electronics (non-implantable)
-Experience with machined and cast parts, especially of large and high precision.
-Low volume, high mix manufacturing experience.
-Hands on experience with assembly and repair of highly complex systems.
-Familiar with the design and fabrication of assembly fixtures and tooling
