We are looking for a seasoned field service technician to provide a high level of technical support and satisfaction to external customers. The focus of this role is to install, repair, and upgrade complex electrical and mechanical apparatus of our CT based aviation checked baggage screening systems. This position is based in our headquarters in Peabody, MA.


  • Install, upgrade, and provide preventive and corrective maintenance on company products in the field.
  • Test and repair electronic systems and subsystems in accordance with specifications.
  • Use unique service tool kits and formulate field troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrade instructions.
  • Train customers in routine operation and maintenance procedures.
  • Resolve customers’ technical problems with on-site visits, electronic and telephone communications, or appropriate training.
  • Assist engineering and manufacturing personnel with technical information and research on customer inquiries.
  • Prepare reports detailing maintenance trends and makes ECR recommendations for changes in design, assembly, or test procedures to improve product yield.
  • Write Field Change Procedures to resolve immediate issues in the field.
  • Provide technical assistance to Analogic employees in the development, repair, or maintenance of Analogic products.
  • Other responsibilities could include software testing or installing prototype sub-assemblies on product systems.


  • Associates degree in technical field or equivalent in experience
  • Experience in the installation of capital equipment such as x-rays, BHS, HVAC
  • Strong knowledge of Linux, must be familiar with Postgress (or another database system?) and excel
  • Outstanding customer service orientation
  • Experienced traveler and willing to travel internationally up to 80%; must be able to maintain valid passport
