Overview

Tests, verifies, calibrates, and performs system-level troubleshooting to assure performance to specifications.

Responsibilities

  • typically performs complex system troubleshooting
  • documents test results and tags items for acceptance or rejection
  • performs repairs or adjustments 
  • may operate complex test equipment such as spectrum analyzer or computed tomography (CT) gantry
  • may perform iterative adjustments, tuning, or sorting
  • advises supervisor of test and quality problems
  • follows quality and safety standards and regulations

 

Qualifications

  • associate’s degree in electrical engineering, technical certificate, or equivalent
  • six or more years of experience assembling and testing large systems that utilize High Voltage
  • recent analog and digital test and troubleshooting experience
  • proficiency with oscilloscopes,multimeters, signal generators, power meters, and other testing equipment
  • skill with testing and analysis; must understand Ohm’s law and power formulas
  • good understanding of system block diagram/function
  • experience using automated and manual lifting devices
  • must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office software

 

preferred

  • experience with high power products
  • knowledge/experience on X-Ray-tube-related equipment
