Performs design tasks on subunits of larger projects and/or takes complete responsibility for smaller projects. Requires knowledge of engineering principles and concepts, an ability to understand the integration of designs and subunits within the overall project, and consistent application of acquired knowledge.
Designs and analyzes electrical or electronic circuits or systems. Applies original and creative approaches to design tasks.
Plans, conducts and supervises engineering research, design, development or manufacturing engineering assignments, normally involving several smaller or less important projects or one major project.
Estimates engineering personnel needs, schedules work to meet completion dates and technical specifications. Coordinates and supervises engineers and technicians assigned to projects.
Maintains liaison with various divisions. Evaluates and reviews progress for assigned projects.
Makes changes in methods, design or equipment where necessary. Generally operates with appreciable latitude for unreviewed action or decision.
Performs other duties as required.
BSEE degree or equivalent and a minimum of five years of related experience.
